Tesla took its sweet time to finally launch the long-awaited Cybertruck, but production is well underway now, and fast progress is being made, with several Cybertrucks leaving the factory every day.

All Cybertrucks are built at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Texas, at a rate that’s increasingly very quickly.

A YouTuber used his drone to show what’s going on at Giga Texas, and production has clearly scaled up.

You’re looking at at the least $40 million worth of Cybertrucks here.

$40 million worth of Cybertrucks

In the clip shared to YouTube by Brad Sloan, we can see how Tesla is keeping busy at its plant in Texas.

Hundreds of trucks are parked outside the factory, ready for delivery.

It’s also interesting to note how every single one of them is the same color.

This is because the Cybertruck is technically not painted, the finish is pure stainless steel which, according to a Tesla engineer, can’t rust.

Most Cybertrucks are kept that way, but some people have gone quite wild with wraps.

Some people gave it a holographic wrap, while others went for a superhero theme, with the Iron Man Suit-inspired wrap for the truck.

including some factory ones directly from Tesla.

The hype effect

Cybertruck is easily one of the most hyped vehicles of the last 10 or 20 years.

This is partly due to its unique shape, something the world had never seen before, and partly because Tesla spent years teasing it.

As a result, several celebrities have bought one or, in Shaquille O’Neal’s case, two.

This also explains the whopping premium on the price.

Several Cybertrucks sell for over retail, because it’s still quite hard to get one.

One listed on SBX Cars sold for $170,000.
