With claims it could be the brand’s “most spectacular design to date”, the Ferrari KC23 is a special one-off supercar from the Italian carmaker.

Underpinned by race-car architecture, the KC23 was inspired by the 488 GT3 Evo 2020.

On the surface, the KC23 has monolithic, sinuous good looks.

It comprises sleek, undisturbed lines “as if it were sculpted from a single block of metal”.

Its distinctive paintwork was specially developed for the model too.

A four-layer aluminium called Gold Mercury, it contains liquid metal for a “living” gleam that changes in sunlight.

However, light bars at the front and back reference classic F40 and F50 supercars.

Its headlights evoke the the 499P endurance racer which just won an historic Le Mans 24 hours.

Plus a dynamic methacrylate light blade at the back was inspired by the Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo single-seater concept.

Meanwhile, new bonnet vents, wheels, ventail-open digital wing mirrors and LaFerrari-inspired butterfly doors add to the futuristic feel.

In motion, its visual character changes “from angel to devil”.

Custom kinematics reveal huge, motorised air intakes and active aerodynamics including a removable, yet imposing rear wing.

Step inside and the pared-back, race-car cabin interior with exposed carbon fibre and various switches come straight from the 488 GT3.

Its full roll cage and brace of custom Alcantara bucket seats reflect its race-car origins.

Under the hood, the Ferrari KC23 doubles down on its design for non-competitive track use rather than the road.

It produces up to 690bhp but it is restricted to 600bhp in race trim.

“It’s likely to inspire many Ferrari owners and lovers as to how the Ferrari of their dreams might look,” a spokesperson for the company said.

“For one visionary customer, that dream became a reality.
