The 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 can do 0-60mph faster than any Lamborghini or McLaren out there.
Chevrolet unveiled the stunning car back in July, proudly announcing that it was fitted with the ‘most powerful V8 ever produced in America from an auto manufacturer’.
Chevy says the new Corvette is designed to ‘challenge the best supercars’ available and recent road tests appear to show that will certainly be the case.
The upcoming ‘Vette managed to hit 60mph (96km/h) in just 2.3 seconds – around the same time as a Bugatti Chiron. Impressive stuff.

The 2025 Chevy Corvette ZR1 is a seriously powerful car
The 2025 Corvette ZR1 comes with the ‘most power ever from a factory Corvette’ and is powered by a 5.5 liter twin-turbocharged V8.
Dubbed the LT7, the V8 produces a whopping 1,064 horsepower at 7,000rpm and 828lb-ft of torque at 6,000rpm.
This sort of horsepower sticks the ZR1 in a very exclusive selection of high-powered vehicles which also includes the likes of the Lamborghini Revuelto and the McLaren W1.
The Chevy Corvette ZR1 has already earned itself the enviable title of fastest US production car after it managed to hit 233mph (374km/h) on a test track in Germany, setting a new speed benchmark for American automakers.
And the carmaker has since dropped some new stats that show the ZR1 really will be a force to be reckoned with.
From a standing stop to 60mph, the ZR1 takes a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it 2.3 and hits the quarter mile in just 9.6 seconds at 150mph (241km/h). Pretty incredible, right?
The ‘Vette holds it own against high-end supercars
The Corvette ZR1’s 0-60mph time puts it ahead of the McLaren W1, which takes 2.7 seconds, and the Lamborghini Revuelto which manages 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in 2.5 seconds.
As well as being exceptionally powerful and as fast as you like, the ZR1 looks every inch the slick and stunning Corvette we all know and love.
Its got plenty of carbon-fiber elements, including a front splitter, rocker moldings, side intake with integrated brake cooling, and front underwing with stall gurney deflectors.
Chevy also reintroduced the historic and iconic split window and the carmaker will allow new buyers a bunch of different customization options to truly make the car their own.
As yet, Chevrolet has remained tight-lipped on a price for the Corvette ZR1 but it’s sure to be a whole lot less than the type of supercars it’s outperforming.
