Gulfstream livre désormais l'incroyable jet privé qu'Elon Musk possède depuis un certain temps.

Elon Musk might have been jetting around in his since 2022, but the Gulfstream G700 is finally being delivered to everyone else.

Two of the jets have already touched down with their owners but, over the next few weeks, deliveries are set to ramp up over the next month.

The Gulfstream G700 jet is the aircraft manufacturer’s new flagship, with prices starting at $75 million.

However, according to Gulfstream president, Mark Burns, the start of 2024 has been somewhat turbulent after policy changed, and ‘the most rigorous certification program in company history’ was introduced.

It was hoped that certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) would have been granted by the end of 2023, allowing the rollout of the G700 to begin that year.

However, internal changes at the FAA due to two fatal Boeing 737 Max crashes, meant approval was put on hold with 15 of the aircraft sitting gathering dust.

Last month, Gulfstream finally got the nod after being tweaked to reach ‘the highest certification standards our industry has ever seen’, per Burns.

He explained that both take-off and landing distances had been trimmed down, which led to additional FAA certifications in late April, allowing the Gulfstream G700 to finally take off.

The ultra-long-range jet is the fastest plane in the Gulfstream fleet – although not the fastest in the world.

It can reach impressive speeds of 7,750 nautical miles at Mach 0.85 (652 mph) or 6,650 nautical miles at Mach 0.90 (690 mph) and can also reach Mach 0.935 (717 mph) at full tilt.

In fact, the Gulfstream G700 set more than 50 speed records before it entered service – although its successor, the G800 is expected to smash those.

Let’s hop aboard and check out the most spacious cabin in business aviation (alongside the Bombardier Global 7500).

Like a palace in the sky, the flexible cabin can be put into numerous configurations with up to five living areas.

Owners can customize the floor plate, palette, upholstery, and even the metal trim. showing a real attention to detail.

And for all the supercar fans out there – the livery of your G700 can even be matched to your favorite sports car.

A grand suite with a shower and a new ‘ultra galley’ allow for unprecedented comfort and service respectively.

Want the window seat? Twenty Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows, which are the largest in business aviation offer incredible views and plenty of natural light.

Meanwhile, featuring the industry’s lowest cabin altitude, 100% fresh, plasma-ionized air is replenished every two to three minutes via a silent system.

And you can make the most of the peace and quiet with ultra-comfort seats that convert into ergonomic beds.
