The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, the automaker’s flagship hypercar, has become the quickest car in the world to accelerate from a standstill to 400km/h (248.5mph) and then back to zero.

Swedish automakers seem to have a hunger to prove their cars to be the fastest in the world.

This time, they have broken their record by almost a second.

Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut breaking records

Reaching 400 km/h is not a big deal for modern-day supercars, but doing it in under 20 seconds is another feat altogether.

However, the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut just broke the 0-400 km/h record in 18.82 seconds.

That’s not all – they also broke their record of reaching 400 km/h and then coming to a dead stop in record time.

Along with that they also broke the record for fastest 0-250-0 mph time of 28.27 seconds and a 0-250 mph time of 19.20 seconds.

The 0-400-0 km/h speed record

Bugatti Chiron was the first car to start the trend of reaching 400 km/h and then coming to a dead stop in 2017.

The multi-million dollar supercar did that in a record time of 41.96 seconds.

However, the Koenigsegg Agera RS left the Chiron in the dust by achieving a 0-400-0 km/h record in 36.44 seconds.

This record was yet again broken by the Koenigsegg Regera in 2019 a new time record of 31.49 seconds.

In May 2023, the all-electric Rimac Nevera boosted from 0-400 and came back to a halt in 29.93 seconds.

However, the Nevera’s victory was short-lived.

With the help of new Michelin Cup2R tires and a smoother track, the Regera claimed back its record.

The Koenigsegg Regera beat the Rimac Nevera and set a time of 28.81 seconds.

Fast forward a year and Koenigsegg broke their own Regera record with the Jesko Absolut.

The supercar also achieved a 0-400-0 km/h speed record in just 27.83 seconds.

However, the automaker’s next goal is to reach a 310 mph+ speed record, that’s a speed of 500 km/h.
