One man struck it lucky when he found an iconic Buick LeSabre in a barn that had barely any miles on it.

This 1974 Buick LeSabre was shared to eBay by user antgl_68, who found it after it’d spent 20 years in a barn.

Not only is this is a gorgeous car to behold, but it’s a prime candidate for restoration.

One look at the odometer would tell you that this isn’t a car that has a ton of mileage on it.

Inside the 1974 Buick LeSabre

Having spent two decades in storage, the car has held up surprisingly well.

But it will no doubt need some tinkering with to get up to standard.

The LeSabre is fitted with a 455ci big-block engine, with no details on the listing about its condition.

Considering the paint is original, it’s stood the test of time remarkably well.

But the real eye-catcher is the exceedingly low mileage of 19,000.

Even among low-mileage cars, this is a pretty slim figure.

It’s a lower figure than was recorded for this 1977 Corvette which only had 26,000 miles on the clock.

With only 19,000 miles recorded, it’s clear that this LeSabre has spent most of its life in storage.

A brief history of the 1974 model

When it debuted in 1974, this LeSabre was part of the fourth generation of the brand.

Originally, it could be ordered as a two-door convertible hard-top and as a four-door sedan hard-top, as reported by autoevolution.

Buick tweaked the available body styles regularly during this period, leading to the convertible being pulled in 1973 and 1976.

The station wagon, on the other hand, only appeared in 1974.

Originally the LeSabre was going for $7,000 over on eBay, but didn’t get any takers.
