Real estate mogul and car collector Manny Khoshbin was one of the first people in the U.S. to take delivery of the incredible Bugatti Bolide.

An avid collector, but also a keen car enthusiast, Khoshbin was hoping to get behind the wheel of his $4.7 million hypercar right away.

But that wasn’t meant to be.

This is because the Bolide is not your average hypercar, which is saying something because nothing about hypercars is ‘average’ to begin with.

The reason why Manny Khoshbin couldn’t just get in and drive away

The first thing to point out is that the Bolide is a track-only hypercar, which means you legally cannot drive it on the road.

But that’s not the main problem because, in addition to legal challenges, there are practical things to bear in mind as well.

The cooling system in the Bolide doesn’t have any onboard fans to keep the massive double W16 engine from overheating.

On top of that, the car was delivered with street tires, not track tires, which were actually packed away and delivered separately.

Translated, this means Khoshbin had to keep a few things in mind before it was allowed to fire the engine up and drive the car into the garage.

Not only that, he actually had to do it in reverse to keep it from the over heating.

Khoshbin owns just about any limited-edition Bugatti and Pagani you can think of.

He also owns a Huayra, a collection of Rolls-Royce vehicles and he even has a Cybertruck.

He was one of the first people in the U.S. to take delivery of a Bugatti Bolide, and arguably the most high-profile owner whose identity was disclosed.

The thing that stands out about his collection is the variety of limited-edition, invitation-only supercars.

These cars, the Bolide is one of those, that can only be bought by buyers who were approved by Bugatti.
