The McLaren Senna that was involved in a notorious crash has been sold at an auction.

A well-known YouTuber wrote off his 2019 model on Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles while doing donuts.

The wreck has just found a new owner for a fraction of its original price, yet still fetched a significant amount.

Let’s see what condition the car is in.

How to crash a hypercar

YouTuber Edmond “Mondi” Barseghian went viral for all the wrong reasons.

The car enthusiast was taking his $1.5 million McLaren Senna for a spin in Los Angeles.

He performed a donut, then crashed into a Lexus dealership while straightening out his car.

The car was traveling at 50mph, but the wheels were spinning at 100mph when he hopped the curb and crashed into the building.

He was lucky to make it out alive, attributing the crash to several factors, including new brakes and cold tires.

Mondi considered keeping the vehicle as a project but decided against it, as repairs would have taken at least two years, and the car would never have driven the same again.

A new owner for the busted McLaren Senna

This auction item was nothing like the 2019 McLaren Senna XP, which had a starting price of $1 million.

For starters, its front was completely concave.

Not a great start considering that buying a hypercar like the Senna famously causes headaches as it is.

Mondi’s insurance company paid him $1.3 million, and the car was said to have an actual cash value of the same amount.

It didn’t fetch that much at auction, selling for $326,500—more than the price of a 2024 Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica, which still had its front intact.

If the new owner can’t get it running again, they could always display it as the world’s most expensive decoration as one multimillionaire did.
