A group of mysterious vehicles have been spotted hidden away under covers at the Tesla Fremont factory test track in California.
Drone footage filmed on November 24, 2024, shows a row of eight vehicles lined up.
The line-up of cars appears to be made up of different models.
As you can imagine, the images have sparked plenty of speculation online, with some folks suggesting the covered cars could be models Tesla is yet to unveil to the public.

The drone footage has sparked speculation amongst Tesla fans
The footage was captured and shared by the person behind the metgodinwilderness7130 YouTube channel who urged their followers to ‘check out the covered cars’ at the California test track.
Images from the clip have since been shared on X where EV fans have been making suggestions about what exactly the mystery motors may be.
Plenty of social media users reckon that the cars could be the much-rumored Model Y refresh, with one person writing: “Hello Juniper.”
As you might be aware, Tesla is currently working away on an updated Model Y – codenamed Project Juniper – with prototypes previously reported to have been spotted in China and San Francisco’s Bay Area in the US.
Insiders have claimed the new Model Y will be unveiled next year.
There’s also been talk of a next-generation Tesla Roadster in the pipeline for several years now.
The eight cars at the testing track appear to be different models
Of course, as the vehicles are covered it’s impossible to tell whether any of the eight cars shown in the clip are the upcoming Model Y or an updated Roadster.
However, what we can see is that eight of the cars are similar in size while one is slightly lower with what looks to be a sleeker, low-slung body.
Of the vehicles that appear to be of a similar size, there are still some obvious differences in the shape of the bodywork, with some having squared-off backs.
Interesting stuff, but for now, it looks like we’ll just have to watch this space.
