Shakira is giving away her purple Lamborghini Urus to a lucky fan.

The Colombian pop superstar announced the news on her Instagram account, but few would have expected her to actually follow through on that promise.

After all, the Lamborghini Urus is a serious bit of kit – and doesn’t come cheap.

But, it looks like Shakira’s lips don’t lie and what she says, she means.

The luxury Lambo SUV is a bit of a celebrity itself, having appeared in the video for Shakira’s song ‘Soltera’, which means ‘Single Woman’ in English.

Since it was released a month ago, that video has been viewed more than 80 million times on YouTube.

So, more people than the entire population of most countries have seen Shakira cruising about in this incredible purple Lamborghini with her girls, before bashing it into a curb.

Shakira might have slightly damaged the car

Yes, that means you may be buying a slightly damaged machine, but it’s one with a decent story behind it.

Shakira confirmed the giveaway on her Instagram, and has even set up a website that hopeful fans can head to if they want to register an interest.

Head for elcarrodeshakira.com – yes, that’s ‘Shakira’s Car’ – and sign up to enter the competition.

Then, record a video of yourself performing the ‘Soltera’ dance and share the vid on Instagram Reels or TikTok with the hashtag – you’ve guessed it – #ElCarroDeShakira.

Shakira and her team will then select five finalists, with the winner chosen via public vote on the Despierta America TV show on December 6.

As is often the case with these sorts of giveaways, there are some terms and conditions.

First off, you have to be over 18.

Secondly, you have to be a resident of America.

The car itself is a beast

As for the car itself, it’s the Lamborghini Urus S model, fitted with a 4.0-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine throwing out 641 horsepower.

That equates to a 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 190mph.

It’s wrapped in an incredibly loud matte purple color, with a white and neon green interior.

You’ll turn a few heads if you win this beauty.

The lucky winner will get the car for free, but the insurance, delivery, title fees, and licensing will be on them.
