It’s a shame to see a legendary 1970 Plymouth Superbird – known for its NASCAR fame – left abandoned for a long time.
This iconic car found a home in a chicken barn, sitting idle and untouched since 1994. But, as luck would have it, someone came to its rescue.
Let us tell you, this wasn’t just any Superbird – it was a famous Looney Tunes version.
Remember the one with Looney Tunes stickers and the popular ‘meep meep’ horn? That’s the one we’re talking about.

A video of this forgotten beauty being rescued was uploaded back in April 2021 by Mopars5150.
Thankfully, despite being neglected for so long, the car’s condition wasn’t as bad as expected.
The chicken house it was stored in kept nature from completely taking over.
The exterior looked solid, and even the interior remained in decent shape.
The engine, although unused for decades, still appeared surprisingly clean, suggesting that it wouldn’t take much work to get it running again.
The car reminded us of the similar Superbirds that were abandoned since 1975, but ran nice and easy.
Interestingly, this chicken barn wasn’t just home to the Superbird.
Several other classic cars sat there, including a Dodge Charger, a Dodge Challenger, a rusty Cadillac, and more, waiting to be brought back to life.
Car parts were scattered around the place, showing just how much automotive history was left behind.

Finally, the Plymouth Superbird was carefully pulled out of the barn using a tractor, and after some much-needed restoration work, it finally made its way back to the road.
With its unique design and racing history, it remains one of the most sought-after muscle cars ever made – and not to forget, the favorite one of the NASCAR legend Richard Petty.
It’s good to see that the car got what it truly deserved!
