Victoria Beckham and her father’s Rolls-Royce became a hot topic last year after her husband David Beckham asked her to tell the world about the car, and now she’s back with more to say on the controversy.
As a matter of fact, she still stands by her original statement and further explained the Rolls-Royce situation.
Spoiler alert — it was a mix of her going to school in a white van on most days, but also a Rolls.

Victoria Beckham insists she was from a working-class family
David Beckham hilariously poked fun at Victoria in October of last year when the ex-footballer’s documentary Beckham debuted on Netflix.
It was filmed inside the duo’s $14.5 million country mansion, which was glorious, to say the least.
Since then, her fans have had mixed feelings about her revelation that she came from a ‘working-class family’ despite sometimes riding to school in a Rolls-Royce.
Victoria’s simple answer was that ‘it wasn’t that simple’ to explain.
In a new interview with Vogue Australia, she doubled down on her insisting that she very much came from a working-class family, and the Rolls resulted from an impromptu decision.
‘You know, my dad had a Rolls-Royce, and he also had a white van,’ she said.
“I came from a working-class background and so my dad in the 80s, he was an entrepreneur, he started his business with my mum at the kitchen table and he did very well, so he bought himself a Rolls-Royce.”
Beckham and siblings begged their dad not to drive the Rolls-Royce
It’s not that her father was wrong to get himself a present, but rather that it made it difficult for her to fit in.
“We went to a regular school and we didn’t live in a big house and the minute he made money he went and bought himself a Rolls-Royce,” Victoria continued.
To avoid any unwanted attention from her friends at school, she didn’t want to be seen arriving in a Rolls.
“Me and my siblings used to beg him, can we please go to school in the white van? Like, we were mortified at the idea of going in the Rolls-Royce,” Posh Spice added.
After these clarifications, her initial answer certainly starts to make much more sense.
Victoria even humorously created a t-shirt that said ‘My Dad Has a Rolls-Royce’ after the mixed reactions last year.
Moreover, that was her situation then, and she wouldn’t hesitate for a second before choosing the luxury car today.
As a matter of fact, David Beckham’s priciest car purchase was a Rolls-Royce itself.
But they have a range of options to choose from, considering the duo’s combined net worth.
