Jacob & Co is about to take over the Dubai skyline.

The jewellery and watchmaker is teaming up with Dubai property developer Binghatti to build the ‘Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences’.

Together, they plan to break the record for the tallest residential building in the world.

The residential building that currently holds the title is the Central Park Tower in New York which stands at 472.4 meters high.

While Jacob & Co hasn’t yet revealed exact measurements for its planned development, it’s promising quite a feat of architecture to break that record.

The skyscraper will be built in Dubai’s financial district, Business Bay, and it will have more than 100 storeys.

The building will be jam-packed with top-of-the-line amenities including a luxury spa, infinity pool, gym, and concierge team.

It will also have five penthouses, which the luxury watchmaker is planning to name after its flagship timepieces including Fleurs De Jardin, Astronomia and Billionaire.

Jacob & Co Chairman Jacob Arab said the Billionaire penthouse would be the “hypertower’s jewel in the crown”.

Muhammad Binghatti said his real estate company was coming together with the watchmaker because “both our brands are born from the sheer desire to achieve what breaks boundaries”.

“What Binghatti has done in real estate by creating a brand through a distinct philosophy and architectural identity is very similar to what Jacob & Co has done in the world of jewelry and horology,” he said.

In rendered images, the building is adorned with diamond-shaped gems that form to look like a crown.

“This is the apex of the luxury narrative in this evocative construction, a signature feature that adds further grandeur to the city’s skyline,” Binghatti said.

Jacob & Co says those who buy a condo will also have access to the brand’s limited-edition jewelry and timepieces.

That’d be nice, considering the condos will certainly be stupendously expensive.
