Make room on your shelf, the LEGO Technic 2022 Ford GT is joining its automotive model set line-up.
The Danish toy brand has revealed that it will sell a 1,466-piece set starting in March.
The car can be assembled into a 1:12 scale model of Ford’s V6-powered, mid-engine supercar.

The 2022 Ford GT model set features details inspired by the real car, like the V6 engine with moving pistons, independent suspension on all wheels, and front-axle steering.
That’s in addition to opening doors, headlight details, a working spoiler wing, and an opening hood.
Once built, the LEGO Technic 2022 Ford GT model measures over 3.5 inches (9cm) high, 15 inches (39cm) long, and 7 inches (18cm) wide.

According to the LEGO website, the buildable supercar model is designed for adult LEGO builders and Ford fans, “offering a detailed building project with a collectible display piece to admire.”
The latest set in the LEGO Technic automotive range joins the likes of the Ferrari Daytona SP3, Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, and McLaren Senna GTR.
If you were planning on saving money this year you can think again, as LEGO has also added the Bugatti Bolide to its catalog of toy sets, too.
Like the LEGO Technic 2022 Ford GT, the Bugatti Bolide model set features working functions like a W16 engine, steering, and opening scissor doors.
However, the 905-piece Bugatti Bolide model is aimed at a younger audience, with the LEGO website stating age nine upwards.
With the real deal priced at $4.2 million, the LEGO version is a fraction of the cost at $49.99.
The Ford GT is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine with an output of 660hp.
If that’s not enough power for you, the hardcore final-edition Ford GT Mk IV is a track-only monster pumping out an exhilarating 800hp.
Unfortunately, the limited-edition model is restricted to just 67 units and is priced at $1.7 million.
