It’s 2022 and cryptocurrency is officially a household word, but there is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding it.

5. 1971 Purple Oldsmobile 442 – $11,000
This little purple toy may not look all that fancy, but it sure is worth a pretty penny or two.
One of these sold on eBay in 2018 for a staggering $11,000 – which is more than most drivers spend on their first car… just let that sink in.
4. 1969 Custom brown Dodge Charger – $13,000
These custom Dodge Charger HotWheels models were very popular in the 70s, in fact, if you have one, you might get a shock when you find out how many times you dropped something worth $13,000.
This is of course based on the iconic 60s Dodge Charger which still remains an icon today.
3. 1970 Mad Maverick – $15,000
The 1970 Mad Maverick was based on the actual production vehicle, but models sported a rather fetching giant rear wing.
Apparently, only five exist today which is why they’re worth a whopping $15,000.
2. 2008 diamond-encrusted 40th anniversary special edition – $60,000
In second place, we have something really special with a huge step up in value.
This diamond-encrusted HotWheels car is based on the Pontiac GTO and was released to celebrate 40 years of the toy brand as well as its four billionth model car.
The car is finished in 18-karat white gold and is encrusted with 2,700 tiny diamonds weighing as much as 23 HotWheels cars.
The taillights are made using red rubies and the exterior is covered in 40 little white diamonds – each one celebrating one year of Hot Wheels’ history.
All that considered, its $60,000 price tag isn’t so surprising.
1. 1969 pink VW Beach Bomb — $100,000
Oh boy, if you thought number two was pricey, then this will probably give you minor heart palpitations.
This pink HotWheels car was introduced in 1969 and comes with two surfboards, which is pretty cool in itself. However, this model wasn’t successful due to a balancing issue, so it’s rumoured that there are just two in existence – each worth $100,000.
That is an absolutely staggering sum of money and is equivalent to almost seven years of working at minimum wage.
