People are surprised Tesla Cybertruck feature has made the final version after watching leaked footage

There’s no ifs or buts about it, the design of the long-delayed Tesla Cybertruck is a constant source of debate and controversy.

One particular design feature causing a stir online is the angular truck’s comically large single windshield wiper.

While several fans fly drones over the Tesla gigafactories hoping to catch a glimpse of the EV, one fan struck gold when they captured what appears to be a finished Cybertruck with the single windshield wiper in action.

If the truth be told, this isn’t the first time the single windshield wiper has been seen.

Release candidate (RC) versions of the Tesla Cybertruck have been spotted with the wiper in the past, although it was unknown if the feature would make it to production.

That now appears to be the case.

People previously complained that the single wiper looked as if it couldn’t clean the passenger side of the windshield.

It appears Tesla has taken that feedback onboard, and has adjusted its size to eliminate the problem.

But in doing so, they’ve created a wiper “so large it looks like it could be used as a weapon,” Electrek’s Fred Lambert said.

What’s that saying – be careful what you wish for?

While Tesla fans are hyped about the hotly-anticipated truck’s imminent arrival, people can’t help but clown on the controversial truck’s design elements.

“If the rest of the body style isn’t a deal breaker, the wiper isn’t going to deter anyone,” one Electrek commenter wrote.

“Does Tesla have a dedicated gigafactory for the wiper?” another quipped.

“No, in fact the wiper is so big they have a terafactory for it,” replied another.

Any day now, the Tesla Cybertruck final specs – single wiper and all – will be revealed, including how much the pickup will cost.
