Jace Allen’s routine bike rides with his dad led to a remarkable discovery – a Pontiac Super Deluxe Catalina hidden in an old barn.
Although they cycled past the car a thousand times, they never realized it once belonged to a celebrated football star.
But that said, there was never a day when the mysterious car did not intrigue them.
Eventually, they found out the story.

Pontiac Super Deluxe Catalina stuck in barn
The car had been abandoned in the barn since 1968, completely out of notice and slowly deteriorating.
Meanwhile, Jake’s curiosity about the car increased, and soon he found out that Dominic Bulgarella – a former football star turned Marine – used to own it.
The incredible story of this Pontiac Super Deluxe Catalina was covered on YouTube by Jace Allen.
Also known as ‘Bulgy’, Dominic bought the car first-hand, back in 1951.
Before he became a Marine, Dominic wanted to become a priest; however, it seems like destiny had other plans for him, as well as his car.
His time in the Marines wasn’t a walk in the park either – he fought in the Korean War, enduring extreme hardships and battling for life every day.
The car was finally restored
Dominic Bulgarella survived and bought the Pontiac Super Deluxe Catalina after returning home.
He drove it until 1968, when it found its seemingly-permanent resting place in the barn.
However, seems like the car was waiting for someone to return and rescue it.
In 2022, Jace Allen finally rescued the Pontiac, which had not seen daylight for 54 years.
All those decades of dust were washed off, revealing its turquoise paint, and Jace worked relentlessly on restoring it.
Interestingly, he has even bought a 1952 Deluxe Catalina for the spare parts.
With such dedication, it’s clear that the Pontiac Super Deluxe Catalina will soon be rolling down the streets once again.
