You might be able to get your hands on a Rolls-Royce Spectre after all.

Demand for the Spectre is reportedly so high that Rolls-Royce will be increasing production of its luxury EV.

“The order intake for the Spectre is far better at this moment than we would have expected,” CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös said.

The Rolls-Royce CEO said production of the EV was yet to even officially begin.

“We have a couple of months to go, but if that trend continues, then I’m pretty sure we need to adjust our plans,” he told Automotive News.

The Spectre is expected to cost about $415,000 and that’s before options.

The British marque initially said deliveries would begin in the fourth quarter of 2023.

The launch of the Spectre marks the beginning of Rolls-Royce’s transition to an all-electric brand by 2030.

Rolls-Royce says the Spectre is the creation of an entirely new class of motor car; the ultra-luxury electric super coupe.

CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös even described the Spectre as “the most perfect product that Rolls-Royce has ever produced”.

“This is the start of a bold new chapter for our marque, our extraordinary clients, and the luxury industry,” he said.

Expectations for the electric coupe are clearly high.

Rolls-Royce Spectre design

The Spectre wears the iconic long hood, sloping roofline and even keeps the traditional Rolls-Royce grille at the front.

In fact, the Spectre’s split headlight treatment is intersected by the widest grille ever given to a Rolls.

The grille also has subtle backlights, with 22 LEDs placed on the rear side of each vane.

As for the doors, they measure almost one and a half meters (59 in), making them the largest coach doors ever seen on a Rolls.

Following the roofline back, the tail lamps are set into a large single-body panel, which extends from the A-pillar to the luggage compartment.

The Spectre has also been given massive 23-inch wheels.

In fact, it’s the first production two-door coupé to be equipped with 23-inch wheels in almost 100 years.

Interior

Inside, the Spectre has an all-new front seat design with bespoke stitching, embroidery and intricate piping.

And to match the marque’s iconic roof, the Spectre will have Starlight Doors.

The doors alone will feature almost 5000 stars.

The palatial cabin will also be totally customizable, with personalized upholstery, wood inlays and paintwork.

Spirit of Ecstacy

Emblematic of the new electric era, the Spectre has a redesigned Spirit of Ecstasy adorning the bonnet.

With one leg forward, she has been reshaped for “a more realistic look”

“These stylistic changes make her more aerodynamic,” Rolls-Royce says.

The new Spirit of Ecstasy will also appear on all future models.

Power

The Spectre will make 577 horsepower.

It will go from 0-60mph in just 4.4 seconds and have a top speed limited to 249km/h (155mph).

And it will have an estimated EPA driving range of 520 kilometers (320 miles).
