It seems even truck manufacturers are also moving ahead with the times; the best example is the new Kenworth SuperTruck 2.
The eco-friendly truck semi was created as part of a Department of Energy program.
The futuristic SuperTruck 2 looks more like a bullet train than a semi.

The Kenworth SuperTruck 2 pushes the limits in reducing aerodynamic drag, thanks to the streamlined design and fully enclosed wheels.
The truck’s bullet train aerodynamic design helps reduce drag by 48%.
The design of the SuperTruck 2 is quite similar to the Tesla Semi, although more aerodynamic.
While it may not be as fast as a supercar, the SuperTruck 2 features a very powerful hybrid engine.
Powered by a PACCAR MX-11 engine, the truck produces 440 hp.
It also features a 48V mild hybrid system that uses next-generation lithium-ion batteries.
Now that a very powerful semi-truck.
As for the interior of the SuperTruck, it is also quite advanced.
It comes with a central driver seat and two displays connected to digital side mirrors.
There’s also a 15-inch digital instrument cluster, which provides advanced driver notifications, a configurable layout, and user-friendly menus.
The best part is yet to come though.
Behind the SuperTruck cockpit, there is also a sleeping area that features a sofa and a wall-mounted bed.
In terms of comfort, it might be even better than this custom truck interior, which looks like a big mattress.
The sleeping area also has a movable table and rear air vents.
Plus the hybrid system allows the drivers to catch some shuteye even when the engine’s off.
However, the SuperTruck 2 is diesel-powered.
Fortunately, according to the company, it can be designed to accommodate fuel cells, hydrogen tanks, and natural gas tanks.
