'The Aurora' concours event in Sweden combines timeless classics with supercars

SBX Cars is heading to Sweden for ‘The Aurora’, a concours event that combines iconic classics with supercars.

The event takes place in Båstad, a coastal town located around 90 minutes away from Copenhagen.

At The Aurora, attendees can expect a long list of rare and valuable cars, from hypercars to timeless classics.

The event mostly revolves around cars, but the key word is ‘mostly’, as other collateral lifestyle activities are also expected.

There are also going to be exhibitions and sponsors from brands that aren’t necessarily to cars, such as JP Morgan.

A dream location

The gorgeous Norrviken botanical garden will be the home of the event.

In the heart of Båstad, the property looks like it came straight from a Disney movie.

Båstad has a permanent population of just a few thousand people, which makes it ideal for a show of this kind.

Away from chaos and noise and city pollution, attendees will just be able to focus on the cars, with nothing around them but perfectly manicured gardens and flowers.

The Aurora event program

The event, spanning three days, is divided into two parts, so to speak.

On one hand, you’ve got a three-day program that includes various panels and exhibitions.

On the other hand, running parallel to the main show, you also have permanent exhibitions that anybody can go and check out for the entire duration of the show.

There will also be a stand with a car from SBX, which will have been listed on SBX Cars by the time the show starts.

Among others, there’s a hypercar exhibition, including Koenigsegg, vintage cars courtesy of Motikon Classic Cars, and then the so-called ‘Special Car’ exhibition.

Among others, the exhibition includes Lotus and F1 race cars, as well as automobiles from iconic car-themed movies such as ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’ and the Fast and Furious franchise.

BMW will also have its own stand, with test drives on location, and 28 cars in total including some modern ones and some vintage classics.

When and where

The event takes place in Båstad, in Skåne County, Sweden, from July 5-7.

Båstad is around 90 minutes away from Copenhagen, and 60 minutes from Malmö, the third-largest city in Sweden and capital of Skåne County.
