“Welcome to a new episode of the clown show,” Tate said. And he was right, it was a clown show, he just didn’t realize who the clown was.

These are the cars Andrew Tate bragged about before a pizza box led to him being detained by the police.

The controversial online influencer rose to infamy in 2016 when he got kicked off UK Big Brother over a video that appeared to show him attacking a woman.

Now, the Twitter personality has been detained in Romania as part of a human trafficking and rape investigation.

He was finally found while hiding out in Romania thanks to a pizza box that was visible in a video he made directed at teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg.

Here’s what went down…

Tate vs Greta Thunberg

The feud between Andrew Tate and Greta Thunberg started when Tate took to Twitter to brag about his car collection.

“Hello Greta Thunberg, I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a W16 8.0L quad-turbo,” he said.

“My two Ferrari 812 Competizione have 6.5L V12s.

“This is just the start.”

Tate then asked the teenager to “please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions”.

Thunberg delivered, along with a savage comeback.

“Yes, please do enlighten me. Email me at smalld*[email protected],” she tweeted.

Tate, a 36-year-old former professional kickboxer, took the bait and tried to clap back at the teenager.

Instead, he made a glaringly obvious mistake.

In a video posted to Twitter, Tate starts ranting about his “very extensive car collection with internal combustion engines which run on dead dinosaurs and have an enormous emission profile”.

Then he tells his friend to “bring me pizza and make sure that these boxes are not recycled”.

“Welcome to a new episode of the clown show,” he said.

And he was right, it was a clown show, he just didn’t realize who the clown was.

When Tate was given his pizza on camera, it had the name of a local pizza maker in Romania.

From this, the police were able to track down his address and take him in.

At the time, Tate was in hiding.

He, his brother Tristan and two Romanian nationals were under investigation for alleged human trafficking.

“The four suspects … appear to have created an organized crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content meant to be seen on specialized websites for a cost,” prosecutors told the Reuters news agency.

After Tate was detained by the police, Thunberg took one final dig at him, saying “this is what happens when you don’t recycle your pizza boxes”.

In recent years, Tate has been banned from social media platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok for spreading misogynistic comments and hate speech.
