1966 Dodge Coronet 426 Wedge with a rare engine

After being stored for decades, Jim Wicker brought this classic Dodge Coronet 426 Wedge in 2024 and began restoring it.

Galen V. Govier – a car expert – confirmed the car’s authenticity.

Popularly linked to the famous ‘Mr. Norm’s’ dealership, 1966 Dodge Coronet 426 Wedge had been forgotten all these years.

However, the car is now getting all the attention it deserves.

Soon, it will be showcased at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals.

Back in the 1950s and 1960s, these cars were known for their power and style, grabbing all the attention, just like the last Dodge Challenger manufactured

But this car in particular was a star, thanks to its rare engine.

Restoring the car to its original form

After buying the car in 2024, Jim spent around 700 hours on it, giving attention to every small detail.

Just as any passionate car collector, he wanted every detail to match the factory’s specifications.

By giving the car its original dark blue color, two-tone blue interior, and restoring the original parts, the Dodge Coronet was back to its former glory.

However, the restoration did not come cheap.

As of writing this article, the restoration is almost complete, and now, Jim is ready for the next big thing – introducing the car to the 2024 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals this November.

You can follow the incredible journey of Jim and this timeless classic on the official YouTube channel, ‘AngryCylinders’.

After all, he’s trying to bring a piece of automotive history back to life!
