Arnold Schwarzenegger is definitely what you’d call a proper gearhead.

He certainly knows his cars, and we know this because he bought one of the most unique and beautiful cars money can buy.

The Speedster was created by an independent brand named Eagle Engineering as the world’s first “zero-mile” Jaguar E-Type.

The idea behind the Eagle Speedster is quite simple, in theory at least.

That’s because the Jaguar E-Type is one of the most sought after cars in the pre-owned market, but finding one in good nick is nigh on impossible.

And that’s why Eagle decided to build one.

Eagle Engineering went to extreme lengths to make sure the Speedster was as close to the E-Type as possible in terms of looks and driving pleasure.

It is powered by a 4.7-liter engine, paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

Even though the car was built in the 2010s, it still has an analog dashboard, a period-correct steering wheel and a rear view mirror that looks like it came straight from the 1950s.

The Speedster is super rare.

Only six units were built and other than Arnold Schwarzenegger, we know that Britain’s Got Talent star Simon Cowell owns one.

Cowell was actually papped while driving one in LA a few years ago.

The price tag is a mystery.

All six cars were built on commission, and the starting price was believed to be in the region of $1 million.

Two Eagle Speedsters have surfaced in the pre-owned market since the launch over ten years ago.

And one of them, according to the listing, had nearly $200,000 worth of optional extras.

As for the one owned by Schwarzenegger, he probably isn’t going to sell it any time soon.

With a net worth of $450 million, he really doesn’t need to either, does he?
