Car makers have finally gone from using nothing but white, black, and grey to actually taking a chance and using purples, greens, oranges, and everything in between.

And people are loving it.

So, here’s a list, in random order, of some of the coolest and most bizarre-colored cars on the market right now.

8. Porsche Taycan in frozen berry and ruby star

Porsche first used this color to showcase an upgraded model for the Chinese market a couple of years ago before making it available worldwide.

Porsche called it ‘Frozen Berry’.

It’s vaguely opaque, slightly darker pink and the best thing about it?

It’s free. No extra charge.

A few months later they also introduced a different, much more vivid shade of pink called Ruby Star.

It is extremely pink and it would fit seamlessly into Jeffree Star’s collection.

7. Toyota Tundra TRD Pro in solar octane

The Tundra is one of the largest Toyota trucks you can buy and the brand’s been making it for over 20 years.

The latest model was launched just a few months ago and it’s more powerful than the old version even though the engine is smaller.

And more importantly, you can order one in orange or, as Toyota calls it, SOLAR OCTANE.

The color is blinding but is also one of the coolest colors we’ve seen on a car before.

It’s almost as blinding as Sergi Galiano’s BMW X6. Almost.

And while we’re on the subject of Toyota, we might as well mention the Tundra’s little brother, the Tacoma, which is available in Electric Lime.

6. McLaren Artura in flux green

The Artura was introduced in 2021 as a replacement for the 570s.

They look more or less the same except the Artura uses a V6 hybrid rather than a V8, and it’s powerful.

It’s available in variety of quirky colors including Lantana purple, Ember orange and of course Flux green.

5. Alfa Romeo Giulia in ochre

The Giulia was unveiled around six years ago to save Alfa and bring it back to its former glory.

Fans of the brand love it.

And they love the ‘Quadrifoglio’ high-performance version even more.

Especially now that it’s available in gold.

Officially known as Ochre, it is basically a glossy mixture of gold, sand and bronze.

It’s got to be one of the coolest car colors out there.

4. Dodge Challenger Demon in plum purple

Dodge calls it Plum Crazy Pearl and it is basically a deep, vivid shade of purple.

It looks awesome, especially with the yellow and black accents.

Even more awesome is the insane power output of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon: well over 800 hp.

3. Hyundai Ioniq 5 in digital teal and shooting star

The Ioniq 5 is an electric car that looks a lot better than most family cars and hatchbacks out there.

Hyundai also tried to make it more intriguing with some unusual color options, including Digital Teal, the greenish / turquoise / blue hue you see here.

And by the way, it’s a no-cost option.

As is another option on the table, called Shooting Star.

This is a bit more difficult to decipher.

It looks like an unusual combination of silver and dark grey, with a hint of chrome and a splash of titanium grey.

2. Rivian R1T in compass yellow

The Rivian R1T is an electric truck that was first teased around three years ago as a Tesla killer.

The company has gone to extreme lengths to create alternative and interesting shades of colors.

Rivian’s Compass Yellow is a great example of that, and the brand’s used it for its truck as well as its SUV.

Technically, that’s yellow.

Not exactly unheard of but this particular hue is certainly original.

It’s discreet but at the same time it makes the truck stand out from the crowd.

Well done, Rivian.

1. TVR Tuscan in ChromaFlair

We’re cheating a bit here because the TVR Tuscan is the only car on the list that’s not new.

When when it comes to the coolest car colors, it would be remiss of us to leave this one out.

TVR, a small sportscar manufacturer from England, came up with one of the most beautiful paint options ever designed.

The brand used a unique pigment called ChromaFlair, giving it a fluorescent neon-magenta-green effect that changes color depending on the angle and light source.

Gorgeous stuff.
