It feels a bit odd to include words like ‘track’ and ‘family car’ in the same sentence.

But that’s exactly what the new Lamborghini Urus S is: a 657-hp beast that combines comfort and performance.

With a price tag of around $208k, the Urus S is essentially the entry-level version of Lambo’s best-selling vehicle, the Urus.

This being a Lambo, let’s start with performance.

The new Urus S uses the same twin-turbo V8 as the previous model but it’s faster and more powerful.

While the old Urus had to make do with 641 hp, this one delivers 657, which means it can do 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds.

The top speed is 190 mph.

There’s more good news because Lamborghini put it on a diet, and it now weighs nearly 50 kg (110 lbs) less than its predecessor.

In terms of styling, the Urus S comes in with a new front bumper and a matte black skidplate made from stainless steel.

At the back, you’ll find upgraded exhaust tailpipes available in shiny black, matte black or bright chrome.

You can also make it more aggressive and sporty with the optional carbon fiber hood, carbon fiber and larger 22-inch and 23-inch wheels.

For reference, the car comes with 22-inch rims as standard.

Inside, you’ll find the same layout and dashboard, but Lambo has added a huge selection of new color options and materials.

Lamborghini has only announced pricing for the UK (£188,000) and Italy (€192,000).

For reference, that translates into $208,000 and $188,000 respectively.

Mind you, the company will almost certainly adjust the price tag depending on a few market-specific factors.

You’re probably looking at a price tag of around $200,000 in the U.S.

The Urus is a big deal for Lamborghini.

In just over four years, Lamborghini delivered more than 20,000 units and it’s just a matter of time before the SUV replaces the Huracán as the brand’s best-selling vehicle ever.

And more to the point, the company says nearly 70 percent of Urus buyers have never owned a Lamborghini before.
