Bugatti has revealed that the V-16-powered Chiron successor will debut on June 20, and the company is calling it a ‘new era’ as they released a teaser.
It hasn’t even been a week since the last-ever Bugatti Chiron left the factory, but the French automaker is geared up for what’s coming next.
The French performance marque teased the newest hybrid hypercar through a not-so-long video posted on Instagram.

Bugatti teases hotly-anticipated Chiron successor
While the video itself doesn’t reveal much — except for the front exterior and bodywork—it shows the deep-red Bugatti macaron above the good-ol’ front grille.
But why did we only get a front view?
That might have to do something to tease what’s under the hood.
And let us tell you — it’s nothing but extreme performance.
Sure, there’s no W-16 engine that everyone loves, by the way, but since it’s going to be a new era, the V-16 is a performance powerhouse.
Hybrid powertrains on sports cars and supercars these days have only proven to increase horsepower numbers, just like the newest Porsche 911.
Of course, take that reference with a grain of salt.
What do we know so far about the Chiron successor?
Even if the teaser video didn’t show much of the actual car, spy shots have shown it from far away.
If there’s a car with such hype coming soon, there are rumors everywhere.
And those rumors suggest that the V-16 on the upcoming hypercar will produce somewhere around 1,800 to 2,000 horses.
That’s certainly a huge performance upgrade.
Farewell to the Bugatti Chiron
The French marque bid farewell to the 500th and final Bugatti Chiron in style last week with a special L’Ultime edition.
Since Chiron holds a respectable legacy, the upcoming hypercar will have some elements from Chiron, too.
There was also a one-off Chiron Super Sport ’55 1 of 1′ edition to honor the original Type 55 that the automaker unveiled recently.
According to the French marque, the upcoming Chiron successor is ‘a completely bespoke design, engineered from the ground up on the three pillars of beauty, luxury and performance.’
Similarly, its design will also feature elements of older iconic cars from the automaker’s lineup, including the Type 57 SC Atlantic, the Type 41 Royale, and the Type 35.
We will know more about the new hypercar when Bugatti officially debuts it on June 20.
It’s only a matter of days anyway.
