A video of a Florida man driving a truly bizarre chopped Chevrolet has emerged online after it was seen parked at a local gas station.
ReliableNewsMedia posted the video on YouTube and asked viewers if they could guess the make and model of the unusual car.
What makes it even more remarkable is that this was in Florida, a state where it rains a lot.
In fact, this homemade convertible was being driven in the rain, making it an even more remarkable sight.

The car was once a Chevrolet Aveo according to the owner
When the YouTuber spotted the vehicle, he approached the owner and asked for more information about the car.
The owner told him it used to be a Chevrolet Aveo, but he got it really cheap after it was involved in an accident.
The lady who previously owned it wanted him to fix the doors on it. But upon seeing the damage he said it wouldn’t be worth it.
She then offered him the car for $300, and that is when he decided to make it a convertible.
Despite the weight shedding, the former Aveo didn’t get any quicker.
In the YouTube video, the owner said that he has had the car top out at 95 mph.
Which in itself is probably quicker than most Aveos can manage.
Driving the chopped-up Aveo in the rain isn’t fun
The biggest downside, of course, is driving the car in the rain.
The owner readily admits that he sits under the gas station roof until the rain passes so he doesn’t get soaked driving home.
It sounds like the owner has further plans for this former Aveo too.
He said he ultimately wanted it to look like a go-kart, hinting that this chopped-up Chevy will receive even more bodywork.

We aren’t sure if there is anything else that he can really take off, but we’re keen to see what he does with it.
Towards the end of the video, when the rain has eased off, we finally see the Chevrolet drive off from the gas station.
It makes for a truly unusual sight, with the trunk fully exposed and the license plate danging by a piece of rope.
Clearly, there isn’t another Chevrolet Aveo quite like it.
