There is a new viral TikTok trend that’s taking over the internet and it involves superstar pop sensation Taylor Swift and Tesla Cybertrucks.
During the recent controversy involving Tesla founder Elon Musk, people have been trading in their Tesla EVs for other EVs.
On Tiktok, people have been sharing videos of their old EVs and then cutting to their new EVs with Taylor Swift’s song Look What You Made Me Do from her album Reputation playing in the background.
One Subaru dealer hilariously got involved in the trend, showing off one of it’s Subaru EVs as a potential replacement.

My old EV can’t come to the phone right now…
TikTok trends are always a random mix of different pop culture moments and this trend is no different.
A new car trend involves global superstar pop sensation and A-list celebrity Taylor Swift and randomly, Tesla EVs, mostly Cybertrucks, but we’ve seen some Model S and Model 3’s hanging around too.
Following the recent controversy surrounding Tesla founder Elon Musk, a lot of people have been trading in their Tesla’s for different EVs, like Rivian R1Ts and Cadillac Escalade iQ’s – even controversially, there have been a few Porsche Taycan’s.
The TikTok trend is using Taylor Swift’s song ‘Look What You Made Me Do’, from her rock revenge album Reputation, particularly the lyrics “I’m sorry, the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Oh…because she’s dead.”
The TikTok users will cut from their old Tesla vehicles and then show their new ones after the ‘because she’s dead’ line.

Tesla Cybertrucks and Taylor Swift, the obvious combination
Even car dealers have got involved, like the Subaru dealer above, showing off one of its new Subaru Solterras.
We wonder if Tay Tay will be inspired by this trend on TikTok and maybe she’ll buy herself a brand new EV, perhaps a Porsche Tay Taycan!
