Elon Musk has shared footage of a baseball bat being taken to a Cybertruck to prove the EV is “bullet-tough”.

The video was originally posted by @Greggertruck on X.

The caption begins: “The dudes at Vegas Auto Gallery took a baseball bat to the Cybertruck.”

However the results of their ‘experiment’ might surprise you.

We know the Cybertruck is tough with footage of Joe Rogan firing an arrow at a Cybertruck while Elon Musk smoked a cigar going viral.

In fact, Elon Musk has recently said the Cybertruck is ‘the finest in apocalypse defense technology’ after footage emerged of thieves trying their best to break in.

The caption on the post concludes: “The bat bent”.

The video sees one of the staff members holding a bat on what seems to have been a live video originally.

“Elon made this thing tough, let’s see,” he says.

He then takes a slight run up before hitting the passenger-side door a total of five times with the bat.

After which, he concludes: “Yeh that thing’s tough as fudge – my hand hurts.”

Then the second employee steps up asking if the bat is bent from the first set of blows.

After three more blows aimed at the back passenger-side door echo across the parking lot – there’s no mistaking that the bat is indeed bent.

This is followed by two more blows and the person giving them examines the bent baseball bat says “it’s wild” that it bent.

However, despite being slightly marked afterwards, the Cybertruck seems to be left intact.

“Wow!! I really want to see someone drive a golf ball into the side of it, at a 75° angle I’ve calculated the energy and surface area for a golf ball and should be perfectly fine,” another user commented.

“Also, still waiting on a brave soul to go across a river or small body of water!”

“A futile attempt to challenge the Cybertrucks durability,” another said.

“It seems even a baseball bat couldnt make a dent in that armored beast. Quite a spectacle of engineering resilience.”

But it was Elon Musk’s reposting that is the ultimate seal of approval.

“Cybertruck is built bullet-tough,” he captions the video.

He is, of course, referring to his own claims that the Cybertruck is “bullet proof” and people since have tested the theory with a whole magazine.

In fact, more recently Adin Ross fired bullets at his Cybertruck to put Musk’s theory to the test.

Thankfully this footage of Tesla robots firing submachine guns a Cybertruck was made with CGI.
