This Embraer E190-E2 ‘Profit Hunter’ is one of the meanest planes out there, thanks to its eye-catching shark design.
The smart-looking plane is part of the Brazilian aviation company’s E-Jet family, which comprises the E170, E175, E190, and E195.
The E190 debuted in 2004 and offered an unusual two-two seat formation – meaning there’s no middle seat.
In fact, the entire E-Jet family of planes has adopted the same format, meaning passengers simply choose between window or aisle when booking. Nice, right?

Although not as well known as some of the other big players in the aviation industry, watching an Embraer take off is poetry in motion – and this clip of one skillfully skimming over onlookers is worth a watch, too.
The planes can carry up to 150 passengers and feature redesigned larger windows to make the cabins brighter, while overhead storage has also been given a boost in size.
“Preserving passenger personal space is the goal,” Rodrigo Silva e Souza, vice-president of marketing for Embraer Commercial Aviation told CNN in 2018.
They certainly stand out from the crowd when it comes to looks – with this E190-E2 having a very cool-looking shark livery.
The eye-catching paint job converts the front of the craft into a shark complete with gleaming white, red-rimmed teeth.

The shark plane isn’t the only Embraer with its livery based around the animal kingdom.
There are also eagle and lion options and the more newly introduced Tech-Lion, Tech-Eagle, and Tech-Shark, which keep the same animal features but give them a blue and black tech-inspired background.
As well as looking good, Embraer wants its fleet to do good.
In a statement, the company said it was committed to helping the ‘aviation industry hit its ‘goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2050’ and that it ‘aims to be carbon neutral by 2040’.
The release went on to say the company will ‘implement 25% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) use in its operations by 2040 and 100% renewable energy sources by 2030’.
Oh and did we mention they look really cool? Because they do.
