Florida man who bought Elvis’ private jet says he somewhat regrets it two years on

This YouTuber based in Florida, bought Elvis’ private jet and told his subscribers that he had some regrets about his purchase and the project as a whole, two years on.

In the last few years, Jimmy bought and restored a 1962 Lockheed JetStar that once belonged to the King himself.

His plans were to restore the plane and take it around the the US for both Elvis Presley and aviation fans alike, however it didn’t fly, he turned it into an RV so that he could drive around in it.

His regrets came in the form of financial ones, worrying about mistakes he had done, issues with functionality and even regrets to do with Priscilla Presley.

Renovating Elvis’ private jet

This YouTuber has gone viral for buying the private jet of one of the biggest celebrities in history and transforming it into one of the weirdest RVs you’ve ever seen.

The lucky buyer, YouTuber Jimmy’s World, is becoming increasingly blue about his purchase, even though he’s managed to monetize his project for both fans of the King and aviation alike.

The 1962 Lockheed JetStar used to be Elvis’ private jet but was left abandoned for many years in New Mexico, causing Suspicious Minds to wonder how it got there.

Jimmy is now using the superstar jet turned RV to travel the US so that fans of Elvis can enjoy it being back in the public and fans of aviation can see the crazy franken-plane he has created.

He’s All Shook Up with regrets

Jimmy has some regrets with his purchase of the jet, firstly the fact that he paid $234,000 for it, which he now sees as a fairly questionable decision, especially as the jet is fully non-functional.

At an event, Jimmy also realized another weird regret of his and that was not saying ‘hi’ to Priscilla Presley when he had the chance. He still hopes he will get the opportunity to meet her again someday.

Jimmy also regrets the fact that he cut off the wings and the tail of the jet to give away as memorabilia, he feels it took away from the plane as a whole.

His plane/RV also had many issues early on with problems with cruise control, exhaust brakes and wiring, but was overjoyed to fix all these issues.

However, the horn circuit and the strange buzzer noise he’s been dealing with will not be easily fixed.
