This guy in Nashville bought 14 motorbikes at auction and expected great things.

However, when he got up-close, things weren’t looking good.

As he inspected the bikes he found that not as many worked as he thought.

But he still came out on top – thanks to the luck of the listings.

When you think of motorbikes you probably don’t instantly relate the two-wheeled speed demons to auctions, right?

Well, it’s actually quite the glamorous fad right now.

Many a man has tried their luck bidding for bikes, like this guy who bought a Virginia barn full of 33 vintage cycles, including a super rare Yamaha – interesting, right?

Another group of guys who fancied their luck were having a wander around Connecticut.

They found a huge warehouse full of abandoned rare cars and motorbikes, including names such as Yamaha and even Rolls-Royce.

But, none of them gambled on their small shot at success quite like this daredevil.

A Youtuber that goes by the name of ‘Bikes and Beards‘ snapped up a collection of 14 motorcycles at auction.

However, this wasn’t his first rodeo when it came to securing two-wheeled bargains.

In fact, the Pennsylvanian native previously bought 40ft shipping container filled with motorbikes banned in the USA for $80k and tried to start them up.

And now, he was back for more action – only this time, things didn’t quite go to plan.

14 motorbikes were purchased – but did they work?

Well, yes… At least, some did.

In a sour turn of events, the YouTuber revealed that out of 14 bikes purchased, only two were in full working order – which, let’s face it, isn’t the best news.

Which ones actually worked?

Let’s discuss the shining stars from the bulk bike buy.

An impressive 1986 BMW R80 GS was up to scratch and working – he did say though, that he kind of ‘bought it blind’ and the pleasure cost him a mere $14,000.

The bike also carried baggage of 32,000 miles but at least it was in ‘really good condition’ – the only downside was that he’d had no idea of the milage when he bought for it – talk about risky bidding.

BMW’s R80 been described by motorbike fans as having ‘real character‘.

The other cycle that ended up in running order was a 1700cc 2004 Yamaha MT01.

Now, this one was in fact a winner.

The YouTuber said it was super cool and never released in America .

He paid $7,000, even though it’s a tough bike to value, but it’s ‘at least worth 8,700 bucks,’ so we’d call that a win.

It bidding wasn’t all bad, though

Upon further inspection, a few of the other bikes did work – with a bit of help and TLC.

But the creator still had some work to do to get the whole fleet of 14 up, running, and taking to the tracks.
