Indian man turns modest hatchback into helicopter-like car

Diwakar Kumar from Bihar, India, took his creativity to another level by transforming his simple hatchback into a helicopter-like car.

The idea came from YouTube, after which he spent $4,200 on the car’s modifications.

The end result was quite amusing – a helicopter/car hybrid with red and blue stripes that was ready to take the road.

It would certainly be an eye-catching car for the groom on his big day.

Anant Ambani, however, arrived at his lavish wedding in a $1.5 m Rolls Royce SUV adorned in golden mesh and flowers.

To make the car-copter appear authentic a non-functional rotor blade and tail boom have been added.

Not the only helicopter car out there

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time someone has attempted such a conversion.

There was a previous incident where a man turned his car into a helicopter, only to have it seized due to safety concerns.

LED lights had also been added to the rotors and side panels to make it more attractive.

Interestingly, all of these hail from Bihar, showing the growing trend of helicopter-cars in the region.

DIY projects can sometimes be a bit wild, like the time when some guys turned their Santro into a swimming pool.

It’s definitely an imaginative way to give a purpose to their vehicles that would have otherwise remained unused – and yes, a great way to make some money too.
