The GTA VI trailer caused such a stir it ended up breaking a YouTube record.
We have no release date yet, but there’s a Reddit post that points out something quite interesting.
We’re talking about a job ad that suggests the release date may be, relatively speaking, around the corner.

The wonderful world of Reddit is basically a digital town square for rumors and leaks.
A few days ago, somebody posted a thread to Reddit, with reference to a new job advert for the game.
Apparently, Rockstar Games is looking for a ‘Localization Tester’.
GTA games are produced in English but translated in most major languages.
So that means that those who play the Spanish-speaking version, for example, will have captions, settings and so on in Spanish.
A localization tester is basically the person that makes sure the translation is done correctly.

The thing is, this is a job with a fixed 12-month contract, starting now.
This is why people are thinking that maybe, a year from now when this contract runs out, Rockstar expects the game to be ready.
So in turn, this would indicate a March 2025 release date.
It may sound a bit thin – wishful thinking at its finest – but it’s also understandable.
GTA VI is easily the most-hyped and long-awaited video game release, probably ever.
It’s so big that Rockstar was essentially ‘forced’ to release the record-breaking trailer ahead of schedule to placate gamers and kill the rumors and leaks.

Aside from the job ad we’ve just mentioned, the only other hint was provided by Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, which is Rockstar’s parent company.
Zelnick said the company expects a significant boost in revenue in 2025, and people automatically thought that means they expect said revenue to come from GTA VI.
