John Travolta’s mansion, known as his ‘plane house’, has its own private runway and hangar for his personal collection of planes.
A lot of celebrities own private jets but Travolta’s love of all things aviation is next level.
His house literally looks like an airport.

The actor, who is known for being a high-profile member of the Church of Scientology, lives on a complex called Jumbolair.
It’s an aviation estate where members can fly directly in and out of.
Travolta and his late wife Kelly Preston were one of the first couples to ever purchase land on the estate.
They lived there together until Preston, real name Kelly Kamalelehua Smith, died in July 2020.

The actor makes no secret of his love of planes and flying.
In fact, he regularly posts about his expeditions on his personal Instagram account.
Travolta also recently revealed he has different licenses allowing him to fly the Boeing 737, the 707 and the 747.
John Travolta’s private plane collection
The Grease star’s plane collection is nothing short of impressive.
At one point he even owned a Boeing 707 he purchased from Qantas, Australia’s flag carrier.
Qantas probably gave him a bit of a discount, considering he’s the company’s brand ambassador.
Even so, the 707 ended up costing the star just a hair over $50 million.
The actor named it the ‘Jett Clipper Ella’, after his late son Jett who passed away in 2009 when he was just 16-years-old.

Believe it or not, the 707 isn’t the only Boeing in his collection as he also has a 727, the ‘great-grandfather’ of the 737 that low-cost airlines use.
Except there’s nothing ‘low-cost’ about it if you want to buy one.
The Boeing 727 costs $24 million.
In an interview with an aviation magazine, Travolta said he was certified to fly 11 different jet types, including the Lear and the Gulfstream.
Speaking of Gulfstream jets, the actor has actually owned three of them.
For the record, the ‘cheapest’ Gulfstream private jet you can buy will set you back $20 million.
He also owns a Bombardian Challenger 601 ($2.2 million), an Eclipse 500 ($1.4 million) and a Dassault Falcon 900 ($8 million).
John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in Grease
After making his Hollywood debut in 1975, Travolta’s career took off in 1978, when he played Danny Zuko in the musical romantic comedy Grease.
Sandy Olsson, his love interest in the movie, was portrayed by the late actress Olivia Newton-John, who died on August 8 this year.
Travolta took to Instagram to pay tribute to his co-star and long time friend.
“My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better,” he said.
“Your impact was incredible. I love you so much.
“We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!”
To date, Grease still remains one of his most memorable performances ever along with Pulp Fiction.
Then again it’s fair to say that acting runs in the family.
His three siblings are actors, and even his late ex-wife Kelly Preston was an actress.
Back in 2000, they even co-starred in a movie together: ‘Battlefield Earth’
