If you were to have a glance at this Volvo V70 station wagon, you would be forgiven for not realizing it’s made of Lego.

Shared by Brick Scale on Instagram and started over four years ago, this was a project to build a life-size replica of the Volvo wagon, made entirely out of Lego.

As the images show, the car is incredibly realistic and with some very cool details.

Looking at it from a distance, you wouldn’t be able to tell this isn’t a real car.

The detail on the Volvo wagon is very impressive

The Instagram page shows the builder using the real Volvo V70 car as a reference point.

However, with no build instructions, the creator was almost doing this blindly as he arranged the bricks in the right order.

There are some truly impressive details to this Lego build.

The Volvo logo is replicated on the steering wheel in exact detail, and the wheel itself is spot on.

Taking it to a new level however, are the fully functional taillights and power-adjustable and folding door mirrors.

The builder also replicated the Waterfall center console of the V70, something that Volvo debuted in the 2010s.

Some parts had to be made via other means, though, like the custom-steel frame the body is attached to.

The Lego V70 rolls on its wheels

It isn’t a static car either, as the Lego V70 rolls on its wheels – which also have real tires.

While there is no engine, the car can be controlled by a small remote-controlled electric motor under the hood.

For a laugh, Brick Scale took the car through Sweden’s safety and emissions tests.

While it didn’t pass safety due to its lack of brakes, it might have passed emissions as it can’t produce any!

The real V70 weighs between 3,454 to 3,974lbs.

The Lego replica weighs around 3,300lbs, so isn’t much lighter than the real thing.

The car is currently on tour across Sweden, with various stops and a display period at an event in Riga, Latvia.

Hopefully, the car will find a good home, possibly even within Volvo’s own collection or with Lego itself.
