Luxury airline Pan Am is taking to the skies again after three decades with a glamorous 12-day round trip in 2025.

Launched all the way back in 1927, the US airline was said to ‘epitomize the luxury and glamour of intercontinental travel’.

Despite once being a popular airline, in 1991 Pan Am filed for bankruptcy, following the closure of two other US airlines –  Eastern Air Lines and Midway Airlines – the same year.

Pan Am airline will return with a luxury trip

However, now it is set to make a return with a high-end 12-day trip that takes off from New York’s JFK Airport on June 27 2025 and flies to Europe with stops at several original Pan Am transatlantic routes including Bermuda, Lisbon, Marseille, London, and Foynes in Ireland.

“As we are becoming more accustomed to travel being a commodity, usually a way to get from point A to point B at the most economical price, we offer a reminder of the Golden Age of travel,” Pan Am says on its website.

“A time when the travel itself was a glamorous experience, and when the journey was as important and special as the destination.”

The 12-day trip will include overnight stays at some of the best hotels in the world, including London’s Savoy, The Four Seasons Hotel Ritz in Lisbon, and The Waldorf Astoria, in New York.

Only 50 places are available on the 12-day trip

Just 50 spots are available on the trip where guests onboard will ‘enjoy upscale catering featuring continental cuisine and an open bar on all flight legs’ served up by ‘handpicked crew’ who ‘will deliver an unrivaled onboard experience and will stay on for the duration of the journey’.

The plane is a privately chartered all Business-Class Boeing 757-200 kitted out with modern lie-flat business class seats and unique ‘buddy’ seats for gathering/socializing.

“Relaunching Pan Am requires a careful balance of honoring its storied past while innovating for the future, so that it resonates with both our longtime fans and new customers,” said Craig Carter, CEO of Pan American World Airways LLC.

As you can imagine, the Pan Am trip doesn’t come cheap. Double occupants will need to hand over $59,950 (£46,076) per person, while solo travelers can expect to part with $65,500 (£50,342).

The ticket price, which can be reserved for $5,000 (£3,842), includes all flights and accommodation, most of your meals and drinks, and an exclusive branded ‘swag bag’.

Fancy.
