Why have just one Tesla Cybertruck when you could have two for when you’re in different parts of the world?

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is onto something as he’s just added another Cybertruck to his collection, after realising he wasn’t using his as it’s in Las Vegas and he’s in Atlanta.

The celebrity icon didn’t appear to think twice as he added the EV to his extensive automobile collection, which is said to be worth £2.5 million.

Shaq adds the Tesla Cybertruck to his extensive car collection

With the price of the 2024 Tesla Cybertruck starting at $81,895 and rising up to $101,985 depending on the trim and options, purchasing a second one isn’t just petty cash.

When he got his first Tesla Cybertruck, Shaq became one of the many famous faces to have snapped up the EV. Other famous owners include Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Kim Kardashian, and Justin Bieber.

The vehicle joins Shaq’s other cars, with his full portfolio including vehicles such as an Apocalypse monster truck, a 1963 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible, a Customised Chevrolet Express G1500 and a Lamborghini Gallardo. He also owns a 14-foot long bike dubbed the ‘man of steel’.

It’s also reported that many of his vehicles are customised or converted, because Shaq isn’t just your regular motorist.

Measuring 2.16 meters and wearing shoe size 22, he needs the vehicles to be modified to meet his impressive height and stature.

One Cybertruck, two Cybertruck

After reportedly missing the new vehicle, the basketball player reportedly spoke on a video call, as he said: “I don’t want to ship it, so I’m just gonna go ahead and buy another one.”

Purchasing his second Tesla Cybertruck wasn’t just a quick transaction, as Shaq did it in the most Shaq way possible.

He added: “Don’t call me until it’s done.”

And that’s how you end up with two Tesla Cybertrucks for all your EV cruising needs.

It’s no wonder Shaq was missing the Tesla EV, as the specs of a Cybertruck are pretty impressive.

The Cybertruck boasts 845 horsepower in a three-motor setup, can run from 0 to 60mph in just 2.6 seconds, and hits a top speed of 130mph.

Shaq isn’t the only fan of a Cybertruck either, as they’ve risen in popularity with registration figures for Cybertrucks from May overtaking both the Ford F-150 Lightning and Rivian R1T.

A new type of Cybertruck, featuring in-house dry cathode 4680 cells, is also getting fans excited. Tesla senior manufacturing engineer Cole Otto wrote on LinkedIn as he explained the ongoing testing: “Introducing the first-ever dry cathode Cybertruck! In July, we kicked off vehicle testing with our groundbreaking in-house dry cathode 4680 cells.

“This is a significant milestone in advancing both technology and cost efficiency. Proud to be part of the brilliant team that made this historic achievement possible.”

Now if we could just get our hands on our own Tesla Cybertruck, we could start wondering where we’d keep our second one…
