Tesla Cybertruck amazes 82-year-old Ford retiree

An elderly American couple who bought themselves a Tesla Cybertruck has put it up for sale after just 68 miles, saying the electric pickup truck is ‘too confusing’.

The EV owners, a 70-year-old couple, have since listed it for sale, deciding to go in a different direction.

Incredibly, the couple had actually bought the mighty Cyberbeast version of the Tesla pickup which retails for nearly $100,000.

This is the fastest and most powerful version of the controversial pickup truck, boasting over 800HP, which may have been a lot more power than they could actually handle.

The Cybertruck wasn’t to the couple’s liking

Their son Tony, who listed the truck on their behalf, said it had barely been driven.

With less than 100 miles on the clock, this particular Cyberbeast was basically brand new.

“My parents, who are in their 70s, found it too large for their comfort and were not accustomed to the steer-by-wire,” Tony said.

With only 68 miles recorded on the odometer, it’s clear that the couple realized pretty quickly that the EV wasn’t for them.

Clearly their previous car didn’t have the radical steering system.

Away from the steer-by-wire system, it is easy to see why the couple was so confused by the truck.

The interior is typical of Tesla, with an unusually shaped steering wheel and no dashboard in front of the driver.

Few other vehicles have an infotainment screen in the center of the cabin that also doubles up as the vehicle’s dashboard.

It is clear, though, that the steer-by-wire system was the truck’s most confusing feature for the couple.

For whatever reason, they could not understand it, and that clearly played a big part in their decision to sell the truck.

The Cyberbeast is the Cybertruck’s ultimate form

While the Cybertruck’s design is controversial, there are no arguments about its power levels in Cyberbeast form.

Thanks to its three electric motors, the Cyberbeast has 845HP and is packed with other features such as the four-wheel steer-by-wire system, LED exterior lighting, and heated and ventilated power front seats.

That power doesn’t come cheap, though, with the current MSRP for the Cyberbeast being $94,490.

However, for those who don’t want all that power, you can, of course, opt for the truck’s ‘regular’ all-wheel drive version, which currently starts at $66,990.

It is worth noting, though, that these prices include the incentives of $7,500 and 5-year gas savings of $5,500
