This guy pitted a Tesla Model 3 against a Polestar 2 and his findings are interesting.
All in all, the Model 3 emerged as a ‘superior’ product on paper.
And yet the Polestar somehow won his heart.
For this guy, the jury is definitely no longer out.

Polestar vs Tesla Model 3, which is better?
YouTuber, Kris Rifa, tested both a Polestar 2 and Tesla Model 3, two vehicles that are, in theory, in the same market bracket.
On paper, the Model 3 is better.
It’s faster, has more range and it costs less.

The range-topping Polestar 2 has a range of 450km (280mi), while the Long Range Model 3 has a range of 702km (436mi).
This, for reference, is the result when you include every available version, including the Polestar 2 specced for the Chinese market.
The fastest-accelerating Polestar 2 does 0-62mph in about 4 seconds, while the Model 3 Performance does it in 2.9 seconds.
Further, the Polestar 2 starts at around $66,000, while the Model 3 starts at around $44,000.
Even so, Rifa said he almost prefers the Polestar 2 because the perceived build quality is better, and it just feels… ‘nicer’.
“The Tesla is better on paper. But I don’t purchase cars based on paper. And the Polestar 2 is quick enough, and has good enough range, and it’s just a better fit,” he said.
“Both cars are very good. I can recommend both. But [with the Polestar], you can get an experience that the Tesla can’t match.”
About Polestar

This isn’t the first time Polestars and Teslas are tested one against the other.
Generally speaking, Polestar is sometimes considered a more premium brand.
This is partly because Polestars, like the 4 for example, are generally more expensive than other equivalent EVs.
But Polestar also branches out quite frequently, when they’re not busy building wild concept cars.
They made a phone once and, on another occasion, a treehouse.
Imagine that.
