The world’s fastest tractor is capable of reach speeds well over 100 mph.

Built by JCB, the tractor was designed specifically for this record.

It took a few attempts to set the record, but now that they’ve finally done it, it will be difficult to beat it.

The tractor is obviously not available in the market, but it is built by JCB, one of the leading names in the industry, and it is based on a ‘normal’ production model.

At the wheel of the record-breaking tractor was Guy Martin, a self-proclaimed ‘thrill seeker’ who’s right in his element when the stakes are this high.

Building the world’s fastest tractor

JCB started by replacing the standard engine with a modified one capable of producing up to 1,000 horsepower.

After that, they fitted a new six-speed transmission and a lighter chassis.

The chassis isn’t the only thing that’s lighter.

Among other things, all body panels and the hood were replaced with lighter equivalents, and the tractor also has a rear diffuser for additional downforce.

The cabin was also modified to accommodate the driver.

They obviously removed anything that wasn’t necessary, including the radio and the air conditioning.

It took several attempts

Rome wasn’t built in a day, as they say, and in the same way JCB and Guy had to fail a few times before setting the record.

The first goal was to reach 100 mph, which they did after a few attempts.

They reached 103.64 mph, equivalent to 166.79 km/h.

After that, they kept going until they reached a whopping top speed of 135.191 mph, or 217.570 km/h.

This record is unlikely to be beaten anytime soon.

It’s also interesting to point out that the tractor that set the record looks, well, like a normal tractor, unlike other similar machines, such as the farming machine that looks like it was built for a movie or the tractor that has six wheels.
