Dodge Hellcat boat

YouTuber Whistlin Diesel is at it again with yet another mad creation.

This time we’re talking about a 700 horsepower Dodge Challenger Hellcat boat.

The idea is simple… said no one ever.

In order to make his Dodge Hellcat boat dream come true, Whistlin Diesel started with a Dodge Challenger Hellcat.

For starters, they replaced the regular tires with supersized 6-foot wheels.

They are made by Fitment Industries and are crafted entirely out of aluminum, chiefly because steel or iron ones would be too heavy.

They’re also massive, with a diameter of 72 inches – or 1.8 meters.

Basically the same height as a human being.

After fitting these aluminum ‘waterwheels’, Whistlin Diesel removed the front wheels and latched the car onto a makeshift raft to make it float.

Power still comes from the V8, it is still sent to the rear axle, but it is then sent to these waterwheels rather than normal tires.

After the Dodge Hellcat Boat experiment, Whistlin Diesel tried using the same wheels on tarmac and it didn’t go so well.

The wheels kept spinning but the car wouldn’t move.

And eventually, all of the wheels shattered.

This is one of those ‘don’t try this at home’ moments.

Especially with a Dodge Hellcat that’s worth $70,000.
