Brand new 2024 Mercedes AMG GT has one very interesting feature

If ever there was a car that had the best of both worlds, it would be the 2024 Mercedes AMG GT.

It’s fast enough to be called a supercar, while at the same time being practical enough to be called a Gran Tourer.

Despite being similar in looks to its predecessor, the latest model is completely new – and it has one very interesting feature.

No, it can’t win in a tug of war against a Ford Bronco like the G-Wagen, but it’s a pretty nifty trick nonetheless – but more on that soon.

Design-wise, it follows exactly the same design language as its predecessor, but with a few tweaks.

It’s got a bigger grille, the headlights are new, and the carbon fiber front splitter is also a new addition.

The new Mercedes AMG GT sits on new 21-inch wheels with carbon-ceramic brakes behind them.

Then, at the back, you’ve got a new carbon fiber rear diffuser and new tailpipes, as well as a new carbon fiber spoiler that’s bigger than ever before.

But it’s the trunk that has everyone talking.

We don’t tend to talk much about trunk size, mainly because the vast majority of performance cars only have a boot barely big enough to fit your wallet.

But given the size of the Mercedes AMG GT trunk, it couldn’t go ignored.

In fact, this car has the largest trunk of any sports car of its kind, with enough space for a Sergi-sized human in there.

We know that because Supercar Blondie’s Sergi Galiano personally tested this when he got the keys to the new Mercedes AMG GT in California recently.

But the trunk isn’t the only thing working in the car’s favor,

The interior’s been revamped, too, and it’s more opulent than ever.

The Mercedes AMG GT has plush leather upholstery for the seats and the dashboard, and a new floating touchscreen display.

You’ve got two gauges, one on either side of the steering wheel, to adjust the driving mode with the right one, and the suspension setting and exhaust valves with the one on the left-hand side.

Under the hood of the Mercedes AMG GT 63 is a 4.0-liter bi-turbo delivering 577 horsepower.

There’s a slightly less powerful model (AMG GT 55) also available rated at 469 horsepower, and later this year Mercedes will launch a hybrid variant.

As for the price tag, the German automaker hasn’t yet revealed the cost, but the base model is expected to be priced between $170,000 and $190,000.
