An American automotive enthusiast bought a one-way ticket to Detroit to buy a Porsche Taycan at a crazy low price before driving it back home.
American YouTuber Matt Farah, and his channel The Smoking Tire, had spotted the Porsche for sale over New Year’s Eve, and at the time, it was the cheapest in the country.
Cue an interested Farah who felt he had to go and check this car out and bring it home.
With all the options on this Taycan, Farah snapped it up for around half the price it would have cost brand new.

The Taycan’s price was incredibly low
The Taycan EV that Farah went to check out was a 2022 Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, stacked full of options.
As new, this particular Taycan model would cost around $111,000 and, with the options, could be as high as $140,000.
However, Farah was able to pick this Taycan up for just $64,000, including taxes, making it easy to see why he couldn’t resist.
It isn’t a high-mileage car, either, with Farah revealing it has just 26,000 miles on the odometer.
The Taycan has a Black and Limestone Beige cabin, and the seats have 18-way adjustment and Comfort Memory.
That alone is a $1,930 option for the car.
The EV also comes with a four-year warranty, making the purchase of the car even more attractive.
The trip home in the Porsche went very smoothly
Farah then drove the car all the way back home.
On the way, he used the Porsche route planner, which placed various stops for him to recharge the EV.
The trip was from Detroit to Los Angeles, so there were plenty of miles for him to cover.
Farah cruised at around 74MPH on the highway, and in total, the EV covered 2,300 miles before arriving in LA.

Minor issues occurred on the trip home, however.
Farah encountered a foggy image on the rearview camera and a warning light that indicated the high beam wasn’t working correctly.
The car also threw up a charging error, saying it could not connect to the Porsche.
Thankfully, Farah was able to sort that out, and apart from those problems, it was a smooth trip home in the bargain Porsche.
