New Tesla cars added to South Pasadena police department car fleet
This incredible news was shared on the official Instagram page of South Pasadena PD.
It’s a proud moment for Tesla, given the trust and believe the police department of California has shown in their cars.
Sgt. Tony Abdalla from the police department noted that Tesla cars not only help reduce carbon emissions but are also among the safest and most technologically advanced vehicles available.
He added that while switching the entire fleet might appear expensive, it actually saves a lot of money.
This is especially true considering that police cars are constantly on the move and use up gallons of fuel.
Additionally, Tesla cars are known for their impressive performance, making them perfect for those long chases.
In fact, Elon is extremely confident in the brand, even claiming that their new Model 3 is even quicker than a Porsche 911.
A perfect choice
For South Pasadena police department, Tesla Model Y and Model 3 are basically a complete package, providing solutions for carbon emissions, safety, and performance.
Interestingly, while California is embracing electric vehicles, the Italian police recently added Lamborghini cars to their fleet.
Both the cars are perfect choices for police operations given their impressive specifications.
The Model Y can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and offers a range of over 300 miles on a single charge.
On the other hand, the Model 3 is also high-performing, with a range of up to 353 miles and a top speed of around 162 mph.
So, the police officers behind the wheel will certainly have a capable vehicle on their hands.
