One thing Dubai isn’t short of is luxury skyscrapers.
As far as the eye can see, the city’s skyline is littered them.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t space for another, though – and the newest architectural marvel is sure to stand out from the rest.

We’re talking about Franck Muller Aeternitas – a 106-story luxury residential tower.
Standing nearly 1,500 feet tall, the project – situated in Dubai Marina – will be the world’s tallest residential clocktower.
Clocktower you say? Yes, the tower will feature a colossal Franck Muller clock as its crowning glory.
The masterpiece will be built in Germany and will be the second biggest clock tower, after the clock tower in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
Apparently, the dial will be fashioned to looked the same as the watch brand’s legendary ‘Long Island’ model.
“The idea is to show the time, and at that magnitude, it’s going to be a working clock. It will be visible from five or six kilometers on any clear day with proper lighting,” Erol Baliyan, Managing Director of Franck Muller, told The National.
Franck Muller Aeternitas won’t be the tallest residential building in the world, though – that accolade is held by the Central Park Tower in New York, which is 22 meters taller.
That aside, the new Dubai tower will feature a collection of 649 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as duplexes called Sky Mansions and Sky Villas, spread over 106 floors.
Mansions in the sky aren’t new, though – Indian billionaire, Vijay Mallya, owns a ‘White House in the sky’ atop a skyscraper.
Apparently, pricing for a one-bedroom starts at $440,000.
That’s pocket change really when you consider the most expensive penthouse in Dubai has a whopping nine-figure price tag.
That being said, the “iconic” Franck Muller Aeternitas tower will boast amenities including a Zen garden, private cinema, cigar lounge, library, spa, yoga room, and 24/7 concierge services.
In other words, the epitome of luxury living.
Baliyan said the tower’s interior will be finished to an extremely high standard and detail, in keeping with the Franck Muller brand.
“As a brand, with our partner London Gate, we’re going to assure the quality and design in the building, because when you bring a brand, as a brand you need to ensure that you keep the brand quality and image,” he said.
“It’s going to be the first one and obviously as a branded residence, we’re going to have the amenities – all that comes with a high-end luxury branded tower.”
Baliyan also said every corridor of the Franck Muller Aeternitas tower will have clocks, with a clock showing the time in certain major cities in the lobby.
“You will see Franck Muller in every corner, the DNA of Franck Muller,” he said.
It’ll be pretty hard to not know what time it is with that many clocks on display.
