Most people would have walked away after seeing a heavily damaged Dodge Ram 1500 Classic.

This content creator and car enthusiast isn’t ‘most people’.

Where some saw disaster, he saw a hidden gem.

It cost him less than you might expect too, with the wrecked car costing just $3,850 plus taxes and repairs and additional parts amounting to $400.

The wrecked Dodge Ram 1500 Classic

Content creator and car enthusiast Ben – of vTuned – was under no illusion that the front driver’s side looked like a disaster zone.

However, the 80,000 miles on the odometer made it a budget-friendly punt worth taking.

Despite the airbag miraculously not having been deployed, it was missing a wheel, suspension, and a large chunk of the fender.

Ever the expert at rebuilding salvage cars, he knew his garage stocked with parts from previous and ongoing projects, was the place to take on the challenge of making it roadworthy again.

If cars coming in parts are your idea of a good time, you’ll love the ‘world’s cheapest supercar’ that is delivered in parts and needs to be built by hand.

He salvaged the car in just 24 hours

While it might seem like an impossible feat, Ben turned this damaged and totaled truck back into a functional vehicle in a mere 24 hours.

Not the first turnaround we’ve seen, this New Jersey man bought an abandoned Porsche 911 Turbo and made it look brand new in just 24 hours.

After replacing the suspension, he swapped the contorted load bed for one from a Ram Rebel version and realigned the frame.

Not unlike the Rebel, this model came with the sought-after Warlock Package, featuring sleek black accents, heavy-duty shocks, and a factory lift.

The damaged Dodge Ram 1500 Classic was now back on four wheels and ready to hit the road.

The cherry on top? The repairs cost just $400 in additional parts.

Under the hood is a powerhouse of a 5.7L HEMI V8 engine producing 395 horsepower and 410lb-ft of torque.

That makes it capable of reaching 0-97km/h/0-60mph in fewer than six seconds.

Despite its capabilities, the Dodge Ram 1500 Classic is being retired to make way for newer DT models, as the gap in pricing between the two trims has narrowed.

However, it remains popular for its rugged simplicity and affordability – speaking of rugged, the Dodge Ram 2500 was previously used to herd sheep on a highway in Utah.
