Stunning footage of the F-22 and F-35A popping flares for the crowds at the Pacific Airshow has to be seen to be believed.

The F-22 Demonstration Team, Raptor Demo, can be seen finessing the pedal turn in an amazing display of aerial acrobatics.

And the F-35A Lightning II Demo Team can be seen ‘ripping up’ over the clouds.

The video was captured on the 30 September 2023.

Said by its creator, Lockheed Martin, to be ‘Digital, Dominant, Ready’ – the F-22 Raptor first flew in September 1997 in Georgia, US, following six years of development.

Its goal was to ‘provide unprecedented air dominance’ and the F-22 Raptor is still providing the United States Air Force (USAF) and other countries with air superiority and next-generation technologies.

The fifth Generation of the F-22 Raptor combines a unique combination of ‘stealth, speed, agility, and situational awareness’.

This is combined with ‘lethal long-range air-to-air and air-to-ground weaponry’.

This makes it arguably the most air-dominant fighter ever.

The 18.90 m (62 ft) long aircraft has a wingspan of 13.56 m (44.5 ft) and an engine thrust of 15,876 kg (35,000 lb).

That’s more thrust than any current fighter engine, allowing it to perform an incredible ‘power loop’.

Meanwhile, the eye-popping price tag of the F-35, the world’s priciest advanced fighter jet, might surprise you.

Lockheed Martin, the home of cutting-edge aviation technology, has created the F-35 Lightening II.

Aside from its impressive capabilities, its eye-popping price tag has everyone talking.

The military aircraft are estimated to cost a staggering $177 million each.

And, with the F-35 Lightening II widely regarded as the world’s priciest advanced fighter jet, it makes sense.

Designed as a versatile combat aircraft, the F-35 is intended to excel in a variety of missions after the first prototype took its maiden flight in 2006.

These range from air superiority to intelligence gathering, surveillance, and anything you want from a fighter jet.

It’s no wonder that the aircraft has gathered attention from militaries around the world, with the USA, Australia, Canada, and several other countries investing heavily in its procurement and development.

The F-35 family consists of three main variants: the F-35A, F-35B and F-35C.

While all three variants cost a fortune, the F-35B is the most expensive one, aiding the pilot with quick takeoff and a smooth vertical landing like a helicopter.
