This is the new Ferrari F80, a new era for the Italian supercar manufacturer.

Powered by a V6 and an electric motor, the car delivers 1,200PS and generates an incredible amount of downforce.

Production is limited to 799 units, and Ferrari has thought of everything.

This is because the last Ferrari F80 will leave the factory in 2027, to celebrate the company’s 80th anniversary.

The brand-new engine in the Ferrari F80

The new Ferrari is a halo car.

It’s their new flagship supercar, designed to take on the new McLaren W1 as an ultra-expensive, high-performance hypercar.

The car was seen around Maranello many times in the past, but Ferrari kept details under wraps.

It is also the first Ferrari to use an electric motor that was designed entirely in-house by the brand.

It works in tandem with a three-liter V6, which generates 900PS (887 horsepower).

In total, it puts out 1,200PS, equivalent to 1,183 horsepower.

It does 0-124mph (200km/h) in just 5.75 seconds, which is faster than most cars get to 62mph (0-100km/h).

A new icon to carry on the Ferrari legacy

Practically and spiritually, the new Ferrari is the successor of the LaFerrari.

We tend to think of the Ferrari F40 as the first one of the breed.

While it is true that the F40 was technically a successor to the 288 GTO and the 250 GTO, history turned it into something even bigger.

It was designed to celebrate Ferrari’s 40th anniversary, which made it a banner for what Ferrari can do.

After the F40 came the F50, then the Enzo, and then the LaFerrari.

And the new one shares the same traits.

It is the most expensive, most powerful, fastest, and most exclusive new Ferrari available today.

An anniversary that will last years

Only 799 units will be built but what’s interesting is the way Ferrari decided to go about production.

The F40 and the F50 were designed to celebrate Ferrari’s 40th and 50th anniversary respectively.

This is the F80, and that’s because the last Ferrari F80 will leave the factory at Maranello in 2027, precisely to coincide with the company’s 80th birthday.

That’s a nice touch.
