This French start-up just raised $20 million for its hydrogen-powered jet.
The Beyond Aero One is the first of it’s kind to actually get off the ground, and it’s got big plans.
The company says the Beyond Aero One will hit the skies as early as 2030, revolutionizing green transport options.
The jet is very expensive but could be the beginning of an aviation revolution.

Is the future hydrogen-powered?
French start-up company Beyond Aero wants to change the face of the aeronautical world forever.
The company was only founded in 2020, but has already fundraised $20 million dollars to build the first ever passenger hydrogen-powered jet.
The jet will be able to carry up to eight passengers at a time but would struggle with weight, so the company approached Formula One to get some advice about creating lightweight vehicles.
The jet will be powered by a fuel cell that combines hydrogen and oxygen, leaving only good ole’ H2O as its byproduct.

The skies are going green with a hydrogen-powered jet
Even though the Beyond Aero One hydrogen powered jet has an 800-nautical-mile range and a cruise speed of 357 mph, it is 12 times more efficient than a standard plane.
One of the features that this hydrogen-powered jet can truly boast is that it will be completely noiseless, which would be a very desirable feature for those living close to airports.
In a similar ‘race to the moon’ stand off, Beyond Aero isn’t the only company working on an environmentally sustainable jet. According to the ‘Hydrogen Aviation Powerlist’, there are currently 110 companies working on hydrogen powered flight, so Beyond aero better be quick.
According to Beyond Aero, they will be launching the One in 2030, but they’ll have to watch out for competitors.

Not only does the jet look incredible, but the environmental implications are expected to be huge.
The company says it will drastically reduce the burning of fossil fuels and pave the way for environmentally sustainable air travel for all.
